I don’t know about you, but in my life, it seems like everywhere I turn the Lord is speaking about intimacy. I can be listening to music and the songs all have the message of time alone w ith God. Scott and I belong to multiple Bible Study groups, and they all seem to have a similar message these days: intimacy.  Even in our pastor’s messages of late, there is always some mention of time with God, receiving God’s love, knowing God’s heart for us...   I think there is a message that they L o rd is trying to convey to His Bride !   As I write this, I can hear Him saying, “I want to spend ti me with you.  I want to share my love, my heart, my strength, my peace, and my joy with you. This week we will being our journey into the purpose of the Bride (the Church). Before we dive into our purpose, I want to lay some foundation for how we fulfill that purpose : Abiding in the Vine.   Webster 1828 dictionary defines abiding as: dwelling; remaining ; continuing; enduring; awaiting.   John 15:1-5, I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every  branch  that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit .    You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither  can  you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
