Women of the Bible Lesson 23 Believers Authority: Declaring and Decreeing Part 2

Last week we learned about using declarations and decrees as part of our authority as believers.  Today I want to explain how I write decrees as well as giving some sample decrees.  Disclaimer: I am not an expert by any means. I have, however, read and studied under some anointed teachers and have been practicing decree writing for a couple of years.   To begin I want to describe my process for decree writing. When I am faced with a challenge or issue that requires divine intervention, I write a decree. I write them for loved ones and friends as well.    The first step is to look up all the scriptures that talk about the issue.  For example, if I am dealing with a financial issue, I look up all the scriptures that talk about money, provision, abundance, blessings...  Next, I read all the scriptures I found when I did my search.  This could be a short list or a long list depending on the topic.  I read each one to determine which ones spe...

Women of the Bible Lesson 22 Believers Authority: Declaring and Decreeing

Today we are going to look at using our authority as believers to Declare and Decree.   Declaring and decreeing differ from prayer. When we pray, we are making a request of God to assist or intervene in our situation on our behalf.  In contrast, when we declare and decree, we are using our God-given authority to proclaim things.  We are speaking things that are not as though they are.     Merriam Webster online dictionary defines declare as: to make known formally, officially, or explicitly.  Decree is defined as: an order usually having the force of law.    Romans 4:17, As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed. (AMPC)   Job 22:28, “You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you;...

Women of the Bible Lesson 21 Believers Authority: Kings and Priests

Revelation 5:9-10, And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests unto our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” (MEV)  In his commentary Matthew Herny wrote, “Every ransomed slave is not immediately preferred to honour; he thinks it a great favour to be restored to liberty. But when the elect of God were made slaves by sin and Satan, in every nation of the world, Christ not only purchased their liberty for them, but the highest honour and preferment, made them kings and priests—kings, to rule over their own spirits, and to overcome the world, and the evil one; and he has made them priests, given them access to himself, and liberty to offer up spiritual sacrifices, and they shall reign on the earth; they shall with him judge the world at the great day.”  Priests: Holy and Royal ...

Women of the Bible Lesson 20 Rahab: A Story of Faith and Redemption

Today we will be diving into the life of Rahab. I want us the see the beauty of God’s grace and love through her beautiful story of faith and redemption.    Rahab was a Canaanite, a woman, and a harlot.  Any one of these three “titles” should have disqualified her from being used by God in that time in history.  However, God looks on the heart rather than on the outward appearance.  1 Samuel 16:7b, “For the Lord sees not as man sees. For man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” (MEV)  As we will see in this study, God can and will use those who seem unlikely candidates if they put their faith in Him.  He is no respecter of people.  Romans 12:11, For God judges all people in the same way. (ICB)  Rahab had a fear of God and chose to put her faith in Him.  She not only believed but she put her faith into action.  James 2:14 and 17, What is the benefit, my fellow believers, if someone claims to have faith b...
