Word from the Lord January 8, 2024

I am your God, and you are my people.  Humble yourselves and pray.  Seek my face and pursue my heart.   

I am establishing my bride as a lifeline to the lost and broken.  I am causing my church to shine like a watchtower beacon to draw in those who are seeking truth, wisdom, freedom, and peace. I am empowering my people and equipping them to minister to those who are seeking. 

Wash yourself in my blood and the cleansing power of my Spirit.  Put on fresh garments and fill your lamps with oil.  The hour is late. The time is short. The harvest is at hand.  I have called you for such a time as this.   

Do not shrink back in fear that you are not ready or able.  I am making you ready and able.  I am giving you the tools you need to meet each challenge head on.  I have been preparing you throughout your life with tools and skill, wisdom, knowledge and compassion.   

I am restoring the years the locust have eaten and am ready to do a new thing.  Do not allow fear or doubt to hinder you from walking in obedience to my voice and direction. 

The enemy will roar, and rage be he cannot touch my people.  His voice is loud, however, just like David, raise your sling and take aim.  My power will wield the stone and knock him down.   

Stay attuned to my voice and walk in immediate obedience.  Allow my power to flow through you and out to those you encounter each day.  My plans for you are for good and my strength is made perfect in your weakness.   

Cease from worrying.  

Cease from fear.   

My love for you is perfect and I will never leave you.  I will never fail you.   

Take the steps as I lead. One step at a time.   

No worry about today. 

No fear for tomorrow.   

My peace I give you.  Remember, I have overcome the world.

    This is exactly what this year has been for us. Reflecting, I am so grateful for His presence in our daily lives... and learning to trust, one step at a time.

Lessons From the Secret Place Special Edition – Intimacy- An Attitude of Gratitude

Webster’s 1828 dictionary says gratitude is an emotion of the heart, excited by a favor or benefit received; a sentiment of kindness or good will towards a benefactor; thankfulness.  God desires relationship and intimacy with us.  One way we can share intimacy with him is through thanksgiving.  When someone does something for me, no matter how great or small, I say, “Thank you” and try to return in kind.  That is how I was raised.  We show gratitude when others bless us. In our culture today, you can often tell which young adults, teens and children were/are being raised by Christian parents, by their level of gratitude.  Sadly, we have a generation of children who were/are being raised to think more of themselves than of others.  This breaks my heart because I know it breaks God’s heart.  Not only do many fail to be grateful for what God has done, many fail to acknowledge his existence at all, passing Christianity/the Word off as a myth or man-ma...

Lessons From the Secret Place - Lesson 1: God is calling us to a place of intimacy with Him.

I don’t know about you, but in my life, it seems like everywhere I turn the Lord is speaking about intimacy. I can be listening to music and the songs all have the message of time alone w ith God. Scott and I belong to multiple Bible Study groups, and they all seem to have a similar message these days: intimacy.  Even in our pastor’s messages of late, there is always some mention of time with God, receiving God’s love, knowing God’s heart for us...   I think there is a message that they L o rd is trying to convey to His Bride !   As I write this, I can hear Him saying, “I want to spend ti me with you.  I want to share my love, my heart, my strength, my peace, and my joy with you.
